About Us

Ferret Web Design is the company pseudonym for Scøtt Lovegrove. Scøtt has worked on, and been designing websites for the last five years, starting while he was doing his A-Levels. Over the years, he has undertaken a number of projects for a variety of different people and companies with different needs. Whilst at university studying Software Engineering, he was required to build a fully working E-Commerce website, using the Tomcat web server from Apache and building the pages using the Java JSP technology and connecting to an Oracle database.

After his time at University in 2002, Scøtt went on to design and develop the corporate website for the local charity Bournemouth Churches Housing Association and created a new exciting site for them which included an online job board complete with an application form for prospective employees. This design was kept for three years, albeit with some minor changes made, but still in keeping with the original design, before being changed in 2005.

Scøtt is familiar with most aspects of web design and the development of those designs, from the use of basic JavaScript to database integration and full dynamic websites. He has worked with JSP, PHP, XML, HTML, XHTML, JavaScript, and is very familiar with the MySQL Database and knows how to successfully integrate and manage databases within a web environment.
